THERE WAS NO SIGH TO LEAVE AT THE DOOR TO NOTE THAT WE DIDN'T NEED THE CLEANING SERVICES OR SLEEP MOOD. THROUGH OUT OUR 5 DAYS STAY THEY WOULD ENTER THE ROOM TO CHANGE SHEETS AND TOWELS CONSTANTLY. UPON ARRIVING TO OUR ROOM, THEY HAD NO BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS IT WAS NOT READY FOR 3 GUESS AS WE NOTED ON OUR RESERVATION. CRUZ AND THE REPRESENTATIVE COULD NOT LOCATE THE INFORMATION IN THEIR SYSTEM SO WE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR HER TO VERIFY OUR INFORMATION. WE ALSO REQUESTED BEFORE ARRIVAL AN EXTRA DAY WHICH WAS CONFIRMED VIA EMAIL WITH MS. ON MY RESERVATION I HAD NOTED THAT WE WAS CELEBRATING TWO BIRTHDAYS AND WE WANTED THE ROOM TO BE DECORATED. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL THE FRONT REPRESENTATIVE WAS NOT HELPFULL AT ALL. I BEEN TRAVELING FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME AND THIS HOTEL WAS THE WORST THUS FAR. Have already recommended this hotel to friends. After reading some negative reviews before we arrived, we were a little concerned, but we had zero issues during our 10 day stay. We choose this resort because it was small and the rooms are situated in the jungle. Housekeeping were on the ball, room cleaned thoroughly, towels and mini bar replenished. Many thanks to Lenis for organising this. Our romance package included a couples massage and dinner on the beach. Food was delicious at both, but we preferred the ambience of Bloved. We tried the Grill restaurant and had dinner at Adelita twice. Big shout out to Roberto, Jesus, Jonathan, Sandy, Argel, and Esther for looking after us so well. The food, service, views, and atmosphere at Bloved was fantastic. We upgraded to privileged and were very glad about this as Bloved restaurant made the holiday. It was only really bad for a couple of days after a heavy thunderstorm, but the staff worked so hard to keep it clear. The beach is stunning, and the sea was crystal clear with no seaweed for 8 out of our 10 days. My husband and I have recently returned from this great resort where we had a really chilled and relaxing stay. For those travelling from afar and paying more therefore expecting 5* then Look elsewhere. Grill and Italian restaurant are the only good restaurants so prepare to eat the same thing again - Relentless sales reps hounding pool side guests into enrolling into the ETC programme (exclusive club) which will take 3 hours of your day receiving a sales pitch for a poorly rated scam As a quick budget weekend getaway for Americans I am certain this hotel is adequate. (Fail to book, fail to eat as there is NO EVENING BUFFET) - Poor poor quality Mexican and tapas food. Pros: - Friendly enough staff - Beach front - Nature jungle element - Great breakfast and lunch buffet Cons: - First come first serve to one of 4 restaurants via an app booking system. The age of tihe property and its natural surroundings however has taken its toll on the facades leaving the hotel looking crumbled and wanting of an update. This hotel is quaint and unique in that it’s nestled in the jungle and the beach front is spectacularly pretty. The hotel is perfectly adequate for a short stay and is a solid 3* however falls short of what one would expect from any five star establishment that this claims to be. For those travelling to Mexico from Europe as we did from England, expecting a 5* resort and experience, avoid.
